It features Harlem Renaissance poetry by Countee Cullen, Langston Hughes, James Weldon Johnson and others. Stirring words illuminate the African-American experience from Mother Africa to the New World, and from tribulation to glorious triumph. RUFUS. T. Wishing you a Blessed 2004 in honor of Sankofa (look to the past to fetch it). Pray all is well. This is the official season to focus on our African Culture as African Americans. The season to celebrate our spirituality, our "African Spirituality."

Starting with the 20th Annual African American Holiday EXPO 2003 (Dec. 20-21) at the District Reeves Center, Christmas, The Spirit of Kwanzaa" at the Kennedy Center (Dec. 28th) with the Washington Dance Institute, celebrating Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday (January 19, 2004 at The University of the District of Columbia with Black Voice For Peace and then to Black History MOnth (2004) Church activities, Jah Kente International, Inc. is alive and well. Our busiest time of year is this season. The time when we share the Afro-Centric ambiance in church sanctuaries, theaters stages and upon request. We, here at Jah Kente International are energetically on our mission honoring Sankofa.
